The Fine Print:

  1. Information must be provided in an organized way (please don't send us a bunch of emails with random attached files).  Our delivery reps will help you figure out the best way to send your information to us.
  2. We will try to show you how to make updates if we feel you are abusing the system - asking us to make updates way too often, or making non-stop revisions.
  3. You can add more pages to your website yourself, but we can only help you with the number pages in your plan.  Just let us know if you want to upgrade.
  • Every new customer gets a credit for the first month of service: $24.95 (Small), $34.95 (Medium), $44.95 (Large)

The Fine Print:

  1. We always recommend to start with Monthly billing until you are 100% happy with our service. After the first month, a customer can prepay for the next 12 months: $250 (Small), $350 (Medium), $450 (Large)

The Fine Print:

  1. The Websites.ca All-In-One Website Service has a lot of design flexibility to make a great looking, unique website that fits a customer's style. We do however have to make sure that our designs work well on different sized screens and in different browsers, so some things just can't be changed. Please make sure to look at our Design Ideas page and talk to us to make sure we can do what you need if you have very specific requirements.
  2. We do not provide logo design, branding, or custom graphics.  We design the website 'banner' and the background of the website only.  We can create a simple logo where the customer can choose the color and style of simple lettering.

  • You stay as the legal owner of your domain name
  • You can take over the management and control of your domain name at any time

The Fine Print:

  1. We register or manage your domain name through our registrar (.ca, .com, .net, .org, .biz) and take care of the yearly renewal.
  2. We do not support domain name transfers. If you want to take over the management of your domain name, we will move it into an account at our registrar that you can manage and transfer if you want.
  3. Customers can manage their own domain, and our Delivery Reps will provide instructions on pointing it to their Websites.ca All-In-One Website.

The Fine Print:

  1. We use the Google Apps email system. Up to 10 accounts are included in the standard package. For over 10 accounts, you can move to the Premium plan at $10/month per account.
  2. Sending spam, unsolicited email, or email that people don't want is monitored by Google. Your account will be suspended without notice. If you are serious about email marketing, we recommend MailChimp
  3. You can add more email accounts yourself (maximum 10), but we can only help you with the number accounts in your plan. Just let us know if you want to upgrade.

  1. Search engines are not an exact science, so we can not make any guarantees. The best strategy is to make sure your website has good information, it is kept up-to-date, and you spread the word.
  2. Trying to manipulate your search engine position by hiding keywords or other dishonest means is a waste of time. It will end up hurting your ranking, or getting your website removed from the search engines.

  2. Even more important than the main pages of your website, the information for your catalog must be provided in an organized way (please don't send us a bunch of emails with random attached files). Our Delivery Reps will help you figure out the best way to send your information to us.

  1. The E-commerce feature is available for the Large plan only
  2. Customers are responsible for signing up with Paypal and adding their banking information, etc.
  3. We will help customers with configuring the Paypal shipping settings (please make sure you understand the shipping charge options of Paypal before you sign up if you want to use this feature)
  4. Please read our E-commerce articles before signing up
  • We set up a custom lead-in or 'splash' page for your website
  • We can set up alternate versions of your design

The Fine Print:

  1. The Alternate Layouts feature is available for the Medium and Large plans only
  2. Having a lead-in or 'splash' page for your website that is just a logo or design with no words can hurt your search engine ranking
  • We create a copy of your website
  • We register and set up another domain name
  • Website Marketing is included (see above)
  • You do the translating

The Fine Print:

  1. Having a different domain name for each version of your website allows you to track the progress of each version separately, gets the best results on the search engines, and lets you focus your advertising to direct visitors to the language they prefer
  2. We are only experts at writing in English - French coming soon! So you are responsible for doing the translating
  • We can register as many domain names as you want
  • We can also manage any domain names you already have
  • You stay as the legal owner of your domain name
  • You can take over the management and control of your domain names at any time

The Fine Print:

  1. There is a fee for each additional domain that we register, manage, and renew for you.
  2. Having more than one domain name is not going to improve your results on the search engines. They see pointing more than one domain name at the same website as cheating the system. We redirect all alternate domain names to your main domain name correctly so your search engine results aren't affected.
  3. It can be a good idea to register both the .com and .ca of your domain name just so somebody else doesn't register one of them and do something weird with it. We don't recommend bothering with any other version like .net, .biz, .org, etc.
  4. $20/year for the domain name only, $50/year for the domain name and email accounts
  • We create an FTP account, and optional mySQL database for you or your developer

The Fine Print:

  1. Developer hosting customers don't have access to the Websites.ca All-In-One editing features, traffic report, search report, custom design, ecommerce services, or telephone/email support.
  2. You are responsible for designing your website, creating the website code, and uploading your website to our servers.
  3. Technical support is available only through our partner company, Rackspace Cloud: 1-877-934-0407.

Payment:

  • Monthly billing is only available to customers set-up to pay automatically by credit card.
  • We accept credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, and cheque.
  • We send your bill by email or fax only (your payment is due within 30 days of the billing date).
  • It is your responsibility to let us know if you want to change where we email or fax your invoices.
  • We will call you or leave you a message if your account is 31 days overdue (the website and email service will be suspended - turned off - if a payment is not made that day).
  • An account will be closed if a payment is 61 days overdue (your website and email will be deleted).

Legal:

  • The information on a website and the Domain Name belong to the customer, so customers can create a copy of the wording and pictures and take over the management of their domain name at any time.
  • Customers can cancel their service at any time with 30 days notice in writing (email, fax, mail). We can not provide a refund for pre-paid services.
  • We work very hard to provide a great service, fantastic support, a bug-free and secure system, and virtually no downtime, but we can not provide any warranties or guarantees about the software or the services provided including the web marketing.
  • The customer is responsible for any legal issues that arise from the subject matter on their website.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason (we will provide 30 days notice by email).
  • By using the Websites.ca All-In-One service, you are agreeing that you have read and understood this page.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and we'll send you an email to let you know if we do.
