Formatting Text

Edit Toolbar

The edit toolbar is used just to change the content in the content window when you have switched a page into Edit mode. Each of the buttons of the edit toolbar are described below.

MnetPicture Button

This button loads the image wizard which allows you to add images to your website.

MnetLink Buttons

These buttons allow you to change whatever words you or picture you have selected on the page into a hyperlink. You can link to a picture in your library, a page on your website, another website, or a file in your library. The left button will bring up the link wizard, which will guide you through the required steps and the right button will remove the link you selected on the page.

Table Button

Create a table grid of information. This will popup a dialog where you can enter the number of rows and columns to your table.

Copy & Paste Buttons

Cut, Copy and Paste text, respectively. The 3 right buttons are all for pasting text. The right most is useful for pasting text from Microsoft Word as this program can often add extra information which can confuse the editor; use this button to clean the data from MS Word.

Find Button

Find text on the page.

Select All Button

Highlight everything on the page.

Remove Formatting Button

This removes all style information associated with text. This is helpful is things seem to be jammed up and the editor is not working as expected. Try selecting a bunch of text and click this button. This will reset all the meta-information and then you can start fresh.

Horizontal Line Buttons

Simply draws a horizontal line.

Character Map Button

Find special characters that are not on your keyboard.

Undo/Redo Buttons

Undo or redo actions, respectively.

Style Buttons

Make text bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript or subscript.

Align Buttons

Align text left, right, centered or justified.

List Buttons

Create a list of items. The left button will create a numbered list and the right will create a bulleted list.

Indent Buttons

Indent or outdent text.

Font Style Buttons

Change the font, size or color of some text.

Source Button

View the HTML source for a page. This is for experienced developers only.

Full-screen Button

This allows you to edit the page in full-screen mode. It's very helpful if you're editing a page with a lot of data.
